LACHARA LIVINGSTON
She is working towards a B.S. in Microbiology and Cell Science. She is
studying the in trans cleavage of extended form of HIV protease.
ANGELA ESTAMPADOR
She is a fourth year undergraduate at the University of Florida, pursuing
a Bachelor Degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. She joined the
Dunn Lab in 2005 and is working under the supervision of Roxana Coman to
characterize the HIV-1 subtype F protease.
MOLLIANN OUSLEY
Molliann is an undergraduate student working towards her Bachelor of Science in
Biochemistry. She joined Dunn Lab in the Fall semster 2006.
ARTI MAHARAJ
She is a third year undergraduate student pursuing a B.S. degree in Microbiology
and Cell Biology. She started in the Dunn lab summer 2006 with an interest
determining conditions that will express malarial enzymes.
EDITH BRACHO-SANCHEZ
She is second year undergraduate student working towards his Bachelor of
Science in Biochemistry. Edith joined Dunn Lab in the Fall semster 2006.
CHRIS LAZO He is a third year undergraduate student at Florida University pusuing
his Bachelor Degree in Microbiology. He joined Dunn Lab in 2005 and he
is working to:purify and determine p2-PR structure.
SUMEET JAIN
He is an undergraduate student at the University of Florida, pusrsuing
a Bachelor Degree in Biochemistry. His research project consists in characterization
of an unknown protease of tuberculosis infectious agent - Bacilum Koch.
PENG LIU, Ph.D.
He received his B.S. in Biotechnology in 2001, at the Peking University. Currently he is forth-year IDP graduate student at University of Florida. He is working to characterize biochemically and structurally various malarial food vacuole enzymes.
MELISSA R MARZAHN, B.S.
She received a Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry with a minor in Mathematics
from University of Texas in 2004. She was admitted in IDP in Biomedical
Sciences in 2004 and joined Dunn Lab in 2005. She is working to express
and characterize a group of malarial enzymes that are not located within
the food vacuole.
C TAYLOR GILLILAND
He is a Beckmann scholar pursiung a Bachelor Degree in Biochemistry and
Molecular Biology, with a minor in Applied and Professional Ethics. He
joined Dunn Lab in 2004 and he is working with various HIV-1 proteases.
KEJIA ZHU
Second year undergraduate student at the University of Florida, Kejia is
working towards his B.S. in Microbiology and Cell Science. He joined Dunn
Lab in 2005 and is working with Roxana Coman to obtain crystals and solve
the 3D structure of different mutants of HIV-1 subtype C protease.
ALEXANDER GARCIA-GODOY
He is pusuing a B.S. in Biochemistry, at the University of Florida. Currently he is working with Tony Sochet and Roxana Coman to characterize substrate specificity of various aminopeptidases from Arabidopsis thaliana.
OBEHI IRUMUDOMON
She is working towards her IDS Biochemistry and Molecular Biology degree.
Currently she is conducting research under Peng Liu supervision to identify
mutations within aspartic proteases PM I and IV employing a GFP system.

DUNN LABORATORY
ARTHUR H ROBINS, Ph.D.
He received his Ph.D. in Crystallography in 1975, at the University of
Pittsburgh. Currently he is working on getting crystals and solving 3D
structure of different variants of HIV-1 subtype B protease. His research
interests are structure-aided design, metalloenzymes, aspartyl proteases,
in silico ligand docking, virtual screening.
BEN M DUNN, Ph.D.
He received his Ph.D. in Chemistry in 1971, at the University of Califoria
at Santa Barbara. He joined the Faculty at University of Florida in 1974.
He became a Distinguished Professor in 1998. His research interests revolve
around the study of protein function-structure relationship.
ROXANA M COMAN, MD
She received her M.D. in 2000, at "Carol Davila" University of
Medicine and Pharmacy, Bucharest, Romania. Currently she is pursiung two
concurrent programs: Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences, and MPH in Health Management
and Policy, University of Florida. Her major interests are HIV/AIDS related
topics and currently she is working with HIV-1 proteases and Gag/Pol proteins
from non-B subtypes
MARTY FERNANDEZ
She is currently in her second year at University of Florida as a major.
She joined Dunn Lab in 2006 and she is working with Roxana Coman to characterize
various HIV proteases.
